Jackie Kearney is a cook book author, teacher and private chef with expertise in many areas of Asian and Mediterranean food, having spent lengthy periods of time in Indian subcontinent and SE Asia, and now living in Italy for the last five years. After reaching the final of BBC’s MasterChef UK in 2011, Jackie started a fine dining vegetarian supper club in Manchester. She created her gourmet street food business, The Hungry Gecko, serving festivals and private events across the UK, including runner-up for Best Dish in the British Street Food Awards in 2012. Jackie currently works as a freelance private and retreat chef in UK and Europe, and at her luxury eco-campsite in Italy.
Jackie has worked as consultant and development chef for several restaurants, including Tampopo (London and Manchester) and Genesis (London), and co-wrote Mr Lee’s Noodle Cook Book with Damian Lee.
